 NAIDOC week

To all veterans, members, staff and guests,

This week marks NAIDOC Week, an opportunity for all Australians to embrace Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and histories.

This year, NAIDOC Week will be acknowledged between 3 and 10 July with the theme Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up!

The Bendigo District RSL Sub-Branch acknowledges the rich history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in getting up, standing up and showing up in the defence of our nation during times of peace and war.
We are proud to be flying the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags alongside the Australian National Flag to acknowledge this important national event.
NAIDOC week is another opportunity to acknowledge and remember the sacrifice and service of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander veterans who have bravely served side by side with all Australians in all wars and to those who paid the supreme sacrifice in defending Australia and its interests. I encourage you to embrace NAIDOC week and to take the time to better understand their cultures, histories, and sacrifice.
Peter Swandale
President
